Along with me, there are many V Stars passionate about this issue. so I've scheduled this even which is not far away. Unfortunately I can't make it due to Parramasala.
If you are free on Sunday, you are welcome to join the many V Stars for this event.
Here's more info from the organisers:
'Consider the suffering of factory farmed animals. Pigs, poultry, dairy and beef cattle are some of the most exploited and abused animals in our country, protected by a legal system that has evolved with the industry. The recent publicity regarding Wally’s Piggery once again exposed a business founded on the suffering of animals, driven solely by profit and supported largely by consumers unaware of the truth. This follows a string of exposes of piggery, poultry and abattoir brutality. The lobbying power
of this industry combined with government support on both sides of parliament means that animal exploitation will continue to operate with complete impunity unless we take action.
Help us send a strong message to our political leaders that factory farming is wrong and must be stopped.
The speakers on the day of the rally will be:
Senator Lee Rhiannon, Federal Senator of the Greens Party,
Mark Pearson, Executive Director of Animal Liberation N.S.W.,
Emma Hurst, Campaign Manager for Animal Liberation N.S.W.,
Phillip Hall, Humane Education Officer for Animal Liberation N.S.W.,
Adele Lloyd of Sentient, The Veterinary Institute of Animal Ethics;
Luke Sullivan, Member of The Animal Rights Coalition Australia."
