Have you ever wanted to go on an adventure? Save a prince(ss)? Slay a dragon? Shred a lute in front of adoring fans? Well we can make that happen. This group is dedicated to an ongoing role playing experience which will transport you to wonderful and fantastic realms. We will be playing a variety of Tabletop Roleplaying Games, including modern standards (D&D 5e, Pathfinder), old-school retroclones (Lamentations of the Flame Princess, Beyond the Wall, Swords & Wizardry), and other games (Mythras, Genesys, Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars, Call of Cthulhu, and more) . No experience is necessary, but we are always looking for more people to run games, or creative and adventurous folks who want to learn to play and have a great time doing it. Meetups typically last for 3-5 hours, and can be one-shots, several consecutive sessions, or weekly adventures, depending on the organizer.
So you think you know 5e? Or you don't but have a great imagination and a knack for exquisite organization? You love to tell a great story? So you like to wrangle cats?
Looking for folks to DM additional sessions so that the group can expand!
I wanted to see how much interest there would be in running a Dragonlance: Fifth Age session. This is an interesting alternative take on D&D that came out back in the 1990s, using the SAGA "fate card" system. Instead of dice, you get a hand of cards you use to run through encounters. Here's more information- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragonlance:_Fifth_Age.
I got this when I was in high school, and liked it a lot; I recently recovered it as my parents were clearing out their attic. It might be fun to try out at some point. If there's sufficient interest I can set up an actual date and re-familiarize myself with the rules.
