What we're about

The purpose of this meetup group is to help those looking for meditation instruction, or wishing to study Buddhism, where to meet up.

Everyone is welcome, no experience is necessary. We cater for beginners and for those with experience.

You are also welcome to make an appointment with the Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Mila to discus any questions you may have.

Our weekly classes are presented in a simple structure & are either taught by our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Mila, or experienced meditation students of the Centre. We have a number of branch classes that may be convenient for you.
They provide a practical overview of meditation, and helpful advice on how to develop and maintain a peaceful and happy mind. During the class there are two guided meditations, a teaching and opportunity to ask questions. Suitable for everyone.
Cost per class: R50, or R30 half hour classes – no booking required. It is not necessary to attend every class.

Clear Sky Mind Urban Retreat

Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre

Our mind’s true nature is like a clear sky, but so often it’s clouded by our busy, uncontrolled (and sometimes negative) thoughts. Meditation on the clarity of the mind is deeply relaxing and empowering. Through it we gain deep insight into the flexible and limitless nature of our own mind. This is in turn helps us to understand through our own experience how to actualize our potential for lasting happiness and freedom. By accessing the pure, clear nature of our mind, we gain the freedom to respond to our thoughts and feelings in the most constructive possible manner. Learn how you can experience the inner peace and joy of a clear mind through simple meditations from the Buddhist tradition on this weekend meditation retreat. Everyone is welcome!
