There will not always be a host. Check the RVSP list.
This is a Conditioning Paddle, to help condition you for future paddles.
*If you plan to camp off your kayak, this is the perfect opportunity to bring extra weight to paddle with.
*If you have a new and/or potential new kayak to try out, this would be a good time.
*If you need to practice self rescue or train for certification this would be the place. (you would need to arrange with someone for training).
Bring water, snack and lunch. We'll be having lunch on the island.
We will paddle around the entire lake. This is a great easy paddle with a distance of 6-7 miles. We are usually done by 1 - 2pm
There is a $10 entrance fee to the lake. The lake will inspect your boat before entry. Make sure it is clean and dry or they will not let you in.
There won't always be a host for these Friday paddles.
Always paddle at your own risk and we expect you have a life jacket, as it is required to paddle with the club.
