Developers normally work with the developer mindset of "how to make this work?". A good tester is thinking about "how to break this?"

I don't think that the "how to break this" mindset applies to test automation. "How to make it work" is more appropriate as the focus is on creating test scripts that confirm that the application works correctly.

I come from a gamedev background but have colleagues in web/app dev that are curious whether one or the other will have more focus for this event. Would non-game developers still get a lot out of this?

Hi Dustin, this meetup is aimed at both game and non-game developers. Testdroid will be speaking to how their platform helps mobile developers. Let me know if you have any other questions.

We are excited to be teaming up with Vancouver Unity Games, EA, and Testdroid for next week's Meetup. Everyone that comes out will get a drink ticket and there will be snacks and appetizers as well. Great time to bring a friend that is new to VanQ!
