What we're about

Most of us spend a lot of our time focused on our outer well-being. But we don't take much care of our own "inner life". We feel we are focused on the right quadrants for a happy life, but we all have the shared experience that life continues to have many ups and downs. All of our best coping strategies are found to be temporary. Our happiness is fleeting and unpredictable. We may spend our whole life working toward obtaining an outer goal to make our lives happy, but maybe in all our busyness, we never get the chance to live from our hearts - to live a meaningful life. Before we know it, we are too old to do all the things we worked so hard to give ourselves the time to do later in life. Life is unpredictable. Our life is precious, and should be meaningful from the inside out.

This meetup group allows you time to contemplate your life from a totally different angle than we usually do. Buddhism teachers you how to cultivate your inner mind. Cultivating your inner mind, you can find the causes of stability, happiness, and peace. You can find the best way to navigate and guide your life. This will help you wake yourself up from your numb routines, and let your inner heart be the root of your life.

All our meetings are under the guidance and instruction of our Lama, Namnang Mingjo Dorje Rinpoche, the world renowned teacher of the Manjushri Lineage Buddha Dharma Center. We will have the opportunity to connect with Rinpoche by live video webcast. We also have a world-wide contemplation teaching forum online. Please contact us for more information.

Moving toward Happiness - Studying Teachings of Namnang Mingjo Dorje Rinpoche

In our mind there are good heart and positive thoughts of loving kindness, compassion, joy, equanimity; there are also desire, hatred, ignorance, arrogance and jealousy. The karma that we repeat practicing determines which one of the two ripens first. If our usual value system and the deepest logic at the bottom of our heart match with the correct Dharma, the first kind can have priority to ripen first; if we have carried out a lot of Dharma training, but our actual value system and the deepest logic in our mind do not match with the correct Dharma, then good heart and positive thoughts may not ripen. ~Namnang Mingjo Dorje Rinpoche Buddha Shakyamuni's quest was to find freedom from suffering. He came to understand the truths of suffering, the causes, the possibility of release, and the path to free ourselves from suffering. He taught interested people of his time the deep truths and methods which we can learn now. We, too, can free ourselves from suffering. Rinpoche, who is Buddha for us in our world today, understands us and helps us each step of the way. Following his teachings, we can learn to clear our minds and lives of unhealthy habits, making our current life and future lives better, and ultimately reach full attainment of an enlightened state beyond suffering. Rinpoche teaches in person, via webcast, and via an online forum, giving intimate and timely insights and advice to help us progress. This Meetup is to introduce you to his teachings, and to the amazing opportunities available at this time. I look forward to meeting with you! Erica [masked]
