An Overview of the Today’s Web Tools: 4 Lightening Talks
Hello 2014! Kickstarting this year we have a new batch of speakers presenting the new and old of web development tools of 2014.
Need to play a quick catch up on current trends? New to the playing field? Or just itching for some web dev talk? This is place to come.
As always: if you have any topic ideas about your favourite app, tool, technique, or new thing you want to present in the next meetups - come over! We're not looking for experts, we all have something to learn, and we all have something to share.

2. Steve Mynett (http://twitter.com/stevemynett) – Performance Budgets for Designers
6 web fonts, full screen images. The weight of the web is growing and performance isn't only a developer. Designers need to be aware of how their design choices impact the end user. Steve will talk about performance budgets and how consider these issues in the design phase.

3. Jacob Payne – Evolution of WYSIWYG Editors
WYSIWYGS? Bah - you probably say: “Who needs them?” Yea there were crappy in the olden days but this is 2014 - so what’s new with Google Web Designer and Macaw? Jacob gives us a brief re-Introduction and comparison between the current popular trio: Dreamweaver, Macaw & Google Web Designer. As well as an idea of what further is to come.
4. Jorge Pedret (http://twitter.com/jorgepedret) – Flexbox and what you can do with it
Jorge will give a quick introduction to the CSS Flexbox, covering subjects like browser support, as well as when and when not to use them.
Jorge isa front-end developer passionate about the web and openness of information and works as a front-end engineer on the Harp Platform and the Harp web server.
