Vancouver Open Coffee Club

Open Coffee Club is a casual gathering of people involved in founding, operating or funding startups. The format is similar to Startup Drinks, but in the morning and with coffee.

The vibe is more hangout than event and provides people with a regular time and location to talk shop, discuss news, ask questions and and meet others in the startup community they may only see occasionally at more formal events.

We're meeting 8:00 - 9:30 am on alternating Tuesdays at Nelson the Seagull, 315 Carrall St, Gastown.

We have to limit the number of attendees to 50 at the request of the venue, but because this is a casual event and people arrive and leave throughout the meetup we're going to try removing the 50 attendee limit for the next few meetings.

For more information and background, please see the Open Coffee Club post on the Pixel Crafters website.

I am fairly new in everything tech. Is it ok for me to still come? I want to learn from others who are actively involve in the industry. Thanks!

Hey Annalea, I am a PHP developper and system engineer and have seen the requirements on your website. I have a bit of free time between my system engineering gigs and would like to work with your team on a voluntary basis. I have always been interested in living green and would like to know if I could stop by and meet with your team. My experience with development is quite varied and I worked on full stack development. I am able to create frontend and backend modules. Most common technologies used include (jquery,angular,prototype,CSS,php,mysql,symfony2,magento,wordpress).Thanks for your consideration, Kings.
