The Olympic Village Square is next to the Creekside Community Centre. It is bordered by the red historic Salt Building. It's a large plaza with giant bird sculptures. Let's meet next to the bird that's closest to the waterfront.
What you will need to participate:
a sketchbook (or any kind of hard drawing surface like a pad of paper) some kind of drawing tool (pen, pencils, ball point pen, travel watercolour kit, calligraphy pen, colour crayon, pastels — anything goes, whatever you would like to draw with) please bring a toonie to contribute to the cost of maintaining this group (but no worries if you forget) ______________________________________________
My recommendations on what else to bring:
warm clothes gloves with cut off fingers can be helpful when sketching outdoors in cold weather a camping stool if you need a seat some money to buy yourself a coffee if we move inside ______________________________________________
You don't have to stay for the full 2 hours, stay as short as you wish, or you can stay longer. We don't need to all stay in one group either, we can spread out across the plaza. It's about finding a view that works for YOU and that interests YOU.
Weather forecast looks dry for Tuesday, but if the weather is really bad, we can sit inside the Terra Breads coffee shop and sketch from there.
