Loki Meyburg, author of Stacker on How to Build Fast Hybrid iOS Apps

Did you know that most of your favourite iOS apps are not truly native? Join Loki Meyburg as he shows you all the tricks to building fast hybrid iOS apps, including how to debug WebViews and improve page load times. Also, with the release of iOS 8, he’ll explain why it’s a big deal for hybrid app development. Loki Meyburg is the creator of Stacker (, an open source project to kickstart development of hybrid native/web iPhone apps. Loki Meyburg is currently the Product Manager at Medeo ( and was the first employee to join the local Vancouver startup. Loki holds a combined major in Business and Computer Science from UBC.

Kalv Sandhu, CEO at on High performance MySQL tuning

This is for those people that have a MySQL db and for one of many reasons now need to optimize it beyond it’s initial designed capabilities. Maybe that initial size of 100 MB has become 100GBs on a machine that can’t be upgraded or perhaps you keep throwing large 64GB ram machines at the problem. I will go through some optimizations that every MySQL db admin should know about, both methods and changes that you can make to either queries and the engine itself. Most of these concepts come from my experience working on production MySQL databases that are in excess of 100GB+ in size.
