ThanksLiving - November 18, 2018
Special Guest: Will Tuttle
ThanksLiving, the yearly gathering and feast that is VegRehoboth’s unique celebration of plant-based living, will be held at a(MUSE.) restaurant on Sunday, November 18th. VegRehoboth is proud to announce Dr. Will Tuttle, author of “The World Peace Diet,” the groundbreaking book on compassionate living and eating which has been translated into 16 languages, will be speaking as part of the celebration at 5 PM at CAMP Rehoboth. Seating for dinner is available before and after his presentation.
Tickets are $35 ($10 for children) for dinner and presentation. Tickets are also available for only Dr. Tuttle’s presentation ($5 to $15 – please pay what you can). Tickets can be reserved at http://vegrehoboth.org/ .
ThanksLiving is a cherished yearly tradition in Rehoboth that was developed 6 years ago as an alternative to the traditional Thanksgiving Day. Hand-picked chefs from area restaurants have generously contributed dishes again this year, making each feast a visual and culinary treat. Chef Hari Cameron of a(MUSE.) and grandpa (MAC) has participated in ThanksLiving every year. This year’s restaurant contributors also include Indigo, G Rehoboth, Fork & Flask at Nage, Taco Reho, Crooked Hammock, and Cuvee Ray.
Dr. Will Tuttle is an international speaker, author, and musician. His book, “The World Peace Diet,” first published in 2005, has revolutionized the world view of plant-based living. He writes movingly of founding “…a new society based on the truth of the interconnectedness of all life,” which naturally and logically suggests that the mass production of animals and our treatment of them drives much of the world’s illnesses and dis-eases. He is an eloquent speaker who draws from his personal journey as a former Zen monk and a Ph.D. in education.
Proceeds from ThanksLiving will benefit the Health and Wellness Programs of CAMP Rehoboth and Rehoboth Beach VegFest 2019. Donations are graciously requested for the raffle.
Please note: tickets must be purchased here: http://vegrehoboth.org/ or in person at upcoming VegRehoboth events.
