DC VegFest

DC VegFest -- a fabulous, FREE, all-vegan event in our nation’s capital -- will be held at the Yards Park (near Nationals Stadium) on Saturday, September 20th, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Founded in 1997 by the Vegetarian Society of DC, this annual celebration now features over 100 exhibitors, cooking demonstrations, speakers, free food samples and more! The event will have a children’s activity area and is dog-friendly (please note that dogs should kept on a leash at all times).

VSDC as a top-level sponsor of DC VegFest asks all our Meetup members to spread the word and join the organizers at Compassion Over Killing (COK) to make this year yet another record-breaking event.

DC VegFest has grown tremendously over the years and hosting the festival is an expensive endeavor. Donations are essential to its success, so please consider making a contribution to DC VegFest by visiting: http://dcvegfest.com/supporters/become-a-supporter

Volunteers are also needed before and during the festival, so if you are interested in helping, please go to:  http://dcvegfest.com/take-action

(VSDC will have its own booth at DC VegFest so see the separate meetup page to Volunteer at the VSDC booth.)

Please visit www.DCVegFest.com for additional information about the festival, a list of speakers and exhibitors, and updates. An estimated 10,000 people attended this all-vegan event in 2013 so tell your family and friends about this year's event.

VSDC hopes to see you there!

Great seeing Dr. Bernard. Kind of ironic that he probably wouldn't approve of most of the vegan food served at the event. Maybe more oil-free next year....

They are, but mine don't care for it, because it's so crowded.

yes - if you think they are ok with large crowds; they must be kept on a leash.
