Join the VSDC Singles Group for a U Street walking tour "The Art of Soul of Black Broadway" on Sunday, November 11th starting at 11:00 am. YOU MUST PURCHASE A TICKET FOR THIS EVENT.
Discover the musical heritage of U Street --formerly known as Black Broadway-- from jazz to hip hop to punk to DC’s own go-go. Walk the streets & back alleys of Shaw and U Street neighborhoods and learn how murals, theatres, music venues, and memorials embrace the history of this amazing city. Along the way, listen to a diverse playlist that will match up with the murals and venues.
RSVPing here does not reserve your spot - please register at https://www.attucksadams.com/products/vsdc-u-street-tour. We're getting a VSDC special rate of $15!
Please arrive by 11:00 am in front of the Howard Theater (620 T Street NW). The tour duration will be approximately 90 minutes. And we'll be led by a vegan tour guide from Attucks Adams!
If you have any questions specific to the tour, feel free to email our guide at: [masked].
For those interested, we'll grab lunch afterward at a nearby vegan friendly restaurant - there are several to choose from.
We look forward to seeing you then!
How to get there:
Shaw/Howard U Metro Station (Green/Yellow) is just a few blocks away and several bus lines run in the area. There is also street parking.
