Linda from Teaism called the VegLine (voice mail for VSDC) and encouraged veg groups to book events by calling Linda or Tracy at 202.464.0256. They are enthusiastic about developing more veg options. The new Old Town Alexandria location is on St. Asaph St. near Wythe.

I got great feedback from my manager - thank you for supporting the restaurant with your purchases! We have a new location out in Old Town if anyone would like to arrange something there. We love our vegan and vegetarian friends.

Linda from Teaism here - just want to extend a 10% discount in our tea shop to the group. The tea shop is 2 doors up from the restaurant - lots of beautiful pots, cups, gourmet treats and other treasures for holiday gift giving. The shop is only open until 7pm so plan to come a little early for dinner. Taylor is working in the shop tomorrow and I will let her know that I've extended a discount to you. thanks!

Linda from Teaism here - we have you on the larger side of the dining room which works for up to 50 people if you want to open it up a bit more. If you end up not needing the whole space - just please stay tight to free up any unneeded tables for our other guests. Also - just for planning - how long do the dinners usually last?

    Thanks!

    • Susie

Thanks Linda. We've opened up the RSVPs for 50 now. The dinners usually last 1 1/2 to 2 hours, depending on the service at the restaurant. Thanks again for help! Cleveland & Susie

Linda from Teaism here - We are excited about hosting you guys tomorrow night. We're working on a menu that lists just the vegan items - small dishes and entrees. I'm also going to talk to the chef about making the breakfast tempeh scramble available for you - it's really yummy!

If anyone decides to join Nicole, please change your RSVP to give others a chance to join our restaurant visit. People often change their RSVP at the last minute, and people on the waiting list can get moved up quickly closer to the event. Thanks!

If anyone is still interested in a restaurant visit on Saturday, I would love to meet up with folks at Spacebar in Falls Church... They have vegan grilled cheese sandwiches, tater tots and salad, plus great beer! I'm going to post a message on the message board. Please let me know if you'd like to come!

    Hi Susan and Mari Lee,
Thanks so much for your interest in our restaurant visits. We're sorry that we can't always accommodate everyone. Please put yourself on the waiting list because as people change their RSVPs, those on the waiting list are automatically moved up and notified by email.
We post the restaurant visits several months in advance on the calendar page on Meetup (http://www.meetup.com/Vegan-DC-MD-VA/#calendar), so people tend to sign up for the restaurant visits after seeing them on the calendar. We recommend that you watch the calendar for future events and RSVP for any that you’re interested in. We will be posting the 2013 restaurant visits on the calendar in the upcoming weeks. We hope to see you soon at one of our many events! Susie and Cleveland

Maybe I am missing the original email but I searched and didn't see an email invite on this until 2 mins ago and the event was already full with 7 on the waiting list. Is there some other list that these invites go to?
