light hearted movie and burrito bar
This month our meal will be some assembly required. Don't worry, it will be way more fun than assembling Ikea furniture. ...If you need help folding your wrap, we can do a quick hands-on demo :)
For this potluck everyone brings something for the burrito bar. We'll need things like seasoned beans, rice, vegan cheese or sour cream, fajita vegetables, corn, cilantro, salsa, tortillas, lettuce, etc.
Please let us know what you think you will bring in your RSVP or in a comment below.
Closer to the event, I will make a list of what everyone is bringing and request items that we might need of those who hadn't decided what to bring yet.
We can watch something family friendly and funny like Chicken Run (84minutes). I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've heard it's pretty good.
When -- I wanted to get an event for us in June--Sunday the 26th is the only day I can host. Time is flexible, so please let us know if you want to recommend a better time of day or if you'll be running late, etc...
Will post more details, and send out an email to yes RSVPs with my address and phone number closer to the event.
(Email has been sent, if you RSVPed "yes" after 3:00pm 6/25/11, please contact me, Michelle (http://www.meetup.com/Vegan-Eats/message/?recipientId=1182123), via this Meetup page and I will send you the information)
I will make/buy the basic fixins: wraps, seasoned rice, sautéed vegetables, and probably beans too.
Patty has volunteered to bring guacamole, and Krystal some salsa or grilled asparagus pieces.
We can still use things like seasoned tofu, drinks, nacho cheese sauce (see recipe http://www.food.com/recipe/vegan-queso-277713), better-than-sour-cream, corn salsa, chopped cilantro, or a dessert.
Try and let us know what you will be brining so we can avoid doubling up.
see you there :)
