Come out and enjoy the last days of summer at our 2nd annual vegan potluck picnic for food, fun, and games at the DuPage County Forest Preserves Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve in the large pavilion located off the 83rd Street trail head in Naperville.

The pavilion can hold up to 50 people seated and the surrounding area provides plenty of room for games or stretching out if you'd like to bring a blanket to sit on instead of using the benches already there.

*Minimum Servings of Potluck Dish*
All attendees are asked to bring enough of their potluck dish to serve 12-15 people with serving utensils. All food must be 100% vegan.

*No Grills for Member Use*
All food will be served cold and must be consumable at outside/cold temperature.

*Avoiding Duplicate Food Items*
Please post what dish you're bringing in the discussion section at least 1 week before the picnic (by August 11th) and be sure to check other members posts to avoid having multiples of the same dish.

*Sharing Recipes*
Please bring a written copy of your potluck recipe or email it to [masked] to be shared with the group members.

To eliminate waste ALL attendees are asked to bring their own (non-alcoholic only) drink in non-parishable containers. No beverages will be provided by Vegan in the Burbs.

To eliminate waste, if available to you, please bring your own non-disposable dishware/silverware.

Flush toilets are on site.

This is a family friendly meetup and we encourage you to bring kids along to enjoy the day. However, our furry family members must remain at home.

*Other Activities*
Bike and running path on site can be enjoyed by all attendees as well.

In addition to the Meet-up fee, the group organizers paid DuPage County from their own pocket for a permit so we have guaranteed use of the shelter with onsite toilets. A suggested donation of $2 per person is requested to help cover cost of the next scheduled (bi-annual) Meet-up fee. If you've enjoyed the events you've attended with Vegan in the Burbs we would appreciate any help in keeping this group alive and growing!

In addition to the Vegan in the Burbs guidelines, all members are expected to comply with the DuPage County Forest Preserve Service restrictions which restrict the use of items that will leave behind mess or residue harmful to the natural surroundings (like water balloons), and no items are to be pounded into the ground (such as horseshoes or signs). No alcoholic beverages are allowed on site.
