Superb! This was one of the most informative and important events that I've ever attended.

So sorry , had to cancel for tomorrow, not less than 3 Halloween parties I "expected" at, and found out today one has a "surprise" B'day thing planned for me (it was last week, but ???) I can actually do all 3 of these things OR this event and I've just got to go w'the 3, none of which work with the Molloy thing> I have also cancelled at their web site, so I "think" I'm covered. Sorry, Karen

    Hello Jennifer!,
Thanks for your expert participation tonight at the Forum. I was intending to go to this event Friday night, but didn't realize the date--we're celebrating my son's birthday, so no go. Perhaps I'll see you on 11/17, right? I'm sure our paths will begin to cross more often now. It was great to get to know you!

Claudia, it was a pleasure meeting you. And I understand your not being able to attend this (you meant Saturday night, right?)—enjoy the birthday celebration! And you bet, I'll definitely be at the Turkey-Free Thanksgiving. See you then. :-)

Jennifer, last time event here they said "snacks" and Live Island Cafe was there with a full dinner plate for $8. Ihad come from work in Huntington and stopped at Chipolte for dinner (BTW a great Vegan experience and though they do sell meats, it's ALL ethically sourced) Since coming from home for a 5 - 6 hour event would be good to "clarify" snacks. Also I checked map here and absolutely correct, know it was a big "mess up" last time.

Hi Karen (and Jennifer!), Christine here, from HealthyPlanet. At this event we are having fair trade coffee from Gentle Brew, Sweet to Lick vegan desserts and food from The Purple Elephant. We specify cafe like foods to our main food vendor, but leave it up to them as to what to bring. Sorry about any confusion Karen! BTW, Love Chipotle's vegetarian burritos (with extra beans, hold the cheese is the way I like it. YUM!) I think Live Island Cafe sold out pretty fast, within the first hour. It was the first time we have done the EcoCafe, so I'm sure we'll work out the kinks as it goes along. Thanks for making us aware that some people would like more specific information about the food!

What Chris said :-) And yes, with the construction in that area, the map was actually altered with streets that used to connect, not connecting any more! That's now reflected in the new map link, so it's easy, once again...

I had the awesome opportunity to see Dr. Caldicott speak at someone's home in Asheville, NC when I lived there. Wish I could be at this event.

You are awesome Jennifer! We're very excited about this event, and our Turkey-Free Thanksgiving Dinner on Sat, Nov 17th-- since they are both covering topics with a very broad appeal and importance to Long Islanders-- in the context of a 100% plant-based social. And of course, we have some really top-notch speakers! We love our new EcoCafé series-- and this month we'll have live music by The Mills Brothers. I look forward to seeing you there, as always!

You're the best, Bob. ♥ As soon as you've got the details for Sat, Nov 17, send 'em my way—I know people will want to put the Thanksgiving event on their calendars.
