Please share what kind of information or experience led you to first consider changing your diet?

My health was a major factor is deciding to eat vegan. I wanted to lose some weight (which I did) and as a lifelong kidney patient, I thought it would be easier if my kidneys didn't have to process animal protein.

Vegan Carolina is predominantly an outreach-based group. Which cities/regions of North Carolina are you interested in helping with leafleting/outreach?

Southwest Durham.

What types of outreach do you prefer to engage in?

Food events that are open to the public.

I am a recent vegan convert who occasionally falls off the wagon for some dairy (like, on holidays and my wife's birthday). I was introduced to this group by my friend Rob Beloved. I live in Southwest Durham.
