Is this only on Sunday? Just asking because I work right at 28th and Lawrence and it would be great to have a lunch place like this nearby.

Neat Market: an all-vegan DIY creators' market
Sunday, May 20th at The Laundry on Lawrence

2701 Lawrence St. Market hours 11am-3pm.

You are invited to participate in the growing community marketplace we call Neat Market. The nomadic shop-up assembles at a different location every third Sunday. We put together a roster of 15-20 local vegan vendors; some you have heard of (Watercourse Bakery, Beet Box), some have become Neat Market family (Source Juice Co., Black Black Coffee), and some are newbies that we are excited to welcome into the fold (Desiderio Chocolates, La V Life Essentials). You can see this month's full lineup here. We've got food trucks, desserts, hot food, meals-to-go, fresh baked bread, body care items, books, hard-to-find groceries, and more! Much of it is handmade by DIY artisans, giving you an opportunity to shop super-locally and support the developing Denver vegan community. Invite your friends on Facebook here!

Veganism in The Denver Post

Just yesterday, The Denver Post published a big article on the evolving vegan food movement, highlighting its tastiness and local advocates, including your favorite little grassroots group, Plants & Animals Denver. Check it out! We're so excited to see veganism getting ink in the biggest paper in this old cow town.

Our third crack at the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale was our most successful ever. Thanks to you, the volunteer bakers, Earth Balance, Beet Box, Mars Bakery, and Watercourse, we raised over $800 for Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary and Sprout City Farms!

Meatless Monday Carrotmob at Marquis!

Every once in a while we get the gang together to support a business that has decided to increase its vegan friendliness. We call it a carrotmob. MARQUIS PIZZA (2009 Larimer St) has meat substitutes and Daiya cheese, and this MeatlessMonday (5/21), we are swarming them with a mass thank-you. Best of all, it's a good deal: Get all-you-can-eat vegan pizza for $10 from 8pm to close! Drink specials too. Be there!
