People's Fair Volunteers needed

Dear Denver and Beyond Vegan Meetupers,

Our sponsor, Vegetarian Society of Colorado, will have a booth at Capitol Hill People's Fair in Denver this coming weekend. We will be tabling as usual, but we will also be showing an educational video this year.

If you will volunteer for a 2 hour shift, please read ALL of the details below first and then send a personal email to me so I can add you to the schedule: [address removed] (include your cell number)

Let me know your first and second choices for shifts (listed below). If you truly have no preference and want to fill in where needed, let me know and I will let you know your shift by Friday afternoon.

If you sign up for a shift, please do your very best to honor your commitment.

We are in the middle of other booths so space will be limited. To prevent over crowding in the booth, please don't bring relatives or friends to work with you, unless you let us know in advance and unless they will be able and willing to promote a plant based diet. If you do sign up another person, please be sure that they will come with you so we won't be short handed.

We had an over crowding problem inside the booth at the creek fest last week, so if you have NOT signed up to work a shift, please feel free to stop by for a visit, but be aware that you will have to stay outside of the work space. Please don't drop by to hang out in the back of the booth, or expecting to work without signing up in advance. I love you all and love to see you all, but I hope you understand that we have a limited amount of space. Thank you!

Our booth number is N-65. we are located on the main walkway that runs through the park from the fountain near Colfax to the CHUN main stage just off 14th. We are in the group of booths that are closer to the south end of the walkway near the stage (close to the car share and the beer garden). See the link for the map below. For other info, see the People's Fair link.

People's Fair info:

The festival hours are:
Saturday, 10 AM to 8 PM
Sunday, 10 AM to 7 PM

Shifts needed (at the moment):

10:30 AM to 12:45 PM
12:30 to 2:45 PM
2:30 to 4:45 PM
4:30 to 6:45 PM

10:30 AM to 12:45 PM
12:30 to 2:45 PM
2:30 to 4:45 PM
4:30 to 6:45 PM

There is some overlapping in order to give the incoming volunteers a few minutes to receive instructions from the out going volunteers. Please try to stick to the schedule as closely as possible so we can limit the amount of time that extra folks will be in the booth.

Hopefully this clear schedule and plan, will help us run smoothly so we can educate as many interested passersby as possible.

Let me know if you have any questions, that I haven't covered in this message. Please use my personal email address and don't reply to the whole list.

Thank you all so much for your time!!

7 & 8 July 2012! See you there!

Did it give you something real, or could you taste the pain of my death in its flavor?
