Re: [DenverAndBeyondVeganMeetup] New Vegan Grocery Store

Hi Folks,

Again, I would like to point out the purpose of this email list.

This list is for discussion between fellow members.  If you don't want conversation email, please change your email options to "daily digest" or no email at all.  You will still receive notices of events and special messages from organizers.

The message boards are for posting messages, not conversations.  Though they can certainly be used for conversation, it's impossible to have any flow and keep track of the current issue.

Some people really love the conversations on the list and they simply delete what they aren't interested in.  It wouldn't be fair to restrict them from this activity, that important to a community feel, because others, who can easily change their options, don't want it.

It's very easy to change your email options.  Here are those instructions:

1) Sign in on this Meetup group's site

2) Click 'My Profile' on the far right of the top tool bar (opposite end from Home)

3) An option flag will drop down; click email settings.  A page will come up with all your email options.

4) Click the options you prefer

5) Click 'SUBMIT' at the bottom center of the page

Please write to me personally, if you have questions or comments about the email list options.

Thanks, my friends!!

You really do vote with your dollars, both for the product and the way they do business, provide local jobs, etc..  I may be wrong, but it seems the conversation has gone toward someone taking the risk and doing whatever it takes to raise the capital to start this venture being somehow wrong and greedy for actually wanting/hoping to make a profit. You cant really expect quality vegan products from a small local store to be available at walmart prices.  Of course you can choose not to shop there, but we seem to have gone from "here is a cool new shop to check out" to profit = evil.

Okay, not trying to be argumentative, but... when they have to pay overhead (day & night, there or not) and utilities, insurance, business licenses, etc. as a brick & mortar store, do you think they will still be the same price?
