YES THERE WILL BE TROPHIES!
Live and Let Livingston celebrates National Chili Cookoff Month!
Live and Let Livingston Vegan celebrates chili on Sunday, October 11th at 4:30pm. The potluck will take place at the Livingston Food Resource Center, 202 South Second Street, and the 4:45pm recipe demo will be “Weird White Chili”. Because it's crazy weird how delicious something SO SIMPLE can taste!
As the saying goes “Beans, beans, good for the heart, Beans beans, GREAT for the heart!” Whether you soak your own, just open a few cans, use a pressure cooker or a crockpot… if you love chili, this is the potluck for you - so grab a vegan corn bread recipe and join us to see who takes home the trophy!
Potluck attendees don’t have to be vegan, but the food does. They are asked to bring a 100% vegan dish, free of flesh, eggs, animal-derived dairy, honey, and gelatin. For the benefit of those with food allergies, people should bring a copy of their recipe or a list of all ingredients used.
Live and Let Livingston meets on the second Sunday of every month, at 4:30pm. Tasty food, educational resources, and easy recipes are shared with those who care about their health, the planet, and most of all, the animals. Plates, cups, utensils, napkins, and warming trays are provided, along with hot tea, coffee, and non-dairy cream. Usually 2-3 dozen people attend and there are several gluten-free and raw dishes offered, along with the inevitable… cupcakes!
