Are you interested in trad climbing with the group?

Since I joined the group, I’ve seen the group serve two major functions. First our regular gym climbing nights are a great social mixer for meeting active climbers and finding partners for outdoor climbing. Second, many beginning climbers have transitioned from gym-only-climber to self sufficient outdoor sport climbers. I want to see those activities continue. In my opinion, there’s a critical piece of the climbing puzzle missing: Trad Climbing. I’d love to see trad. climbing be a part of what the rock climbing meetup group has to offer its members. However, Trad climbing with a group poses some unique challenges. An emphasis on safety is critical. To accommodate a group, we’ll target single pitch crag climbs. Leading for trad climbing can’t be taught in a day, so these trad events would target climbers who are already experienced trad leaders. (teaching events for trad may be a future goal for the group). So how about it? Who's interested in trad climbing with the group?
