This is a hike to the Muffins and a trail that goes along the edge of Blue Diamond Hill with views of the Las Vegas Valley. We will return by a Fossil Ridge/Desert Rock. (not boneshaker)
Join me on this spectacular hike offering amazing views of Las Vegas. A strenuous Hike 8.25 miles (4-5 hours), located near Las Vegas. Much of this hike is classic desert with no shade. Please 2 liters ++ of water, snacks, wear a hat/sunscreen.
We will stop for lunch. No bathrooms. Participant should be able to walk 8.25+ miles, pace is as slow as the slowest person. No Children, No dogs. Hiking poles recommended. Dress in layers. It is a good idea to bring a comfortable pair of footwear to change into after the hike.

Cowboy Trail Rides parking: The trailhead is about 30 minutes west of Las Vegas.
Directions: From West Charleston Blvd at Highway I-215, drive west on Charleston Blvd (Highway 159) out into the desert. Pass the turnoff into the Scenic Loop Area, and continue west on Charleston Blvd. for 1.1 miles to the "Horseback Rides" parking lot on the left (southeast) side of the road. Park here; this is the trailhead.
