What is the most difficult hike you have ever done?

Various Death Valley canyoneering trips have been challenging while there's been a few multi-day backpacking trips that have been arduous.

How did you get started hiking, or what has gotten you back in to it?

I hiked quite a bit when I was younger and on and off over the years. I've always enjoyed the beauty, peace and stress free environment of the outdoors (vs. the office). Now in the retirement mode, it's time to get out on a regular basis.

Where is the most scenic place you've ever hiked or camped?

While I love Red Rock and Mt. Charleston, Zion and Bryce Canyons are quite spectacular too. But, nothing beats the High Sierras. However, I love them all.

Where would you most like the group to go on an outing?

It's hard to say as there are so many places yet to explore. Any of the National Parks would be cool. Maybe a long trip to Yosemite.

Why are you joining VegasHikers?

I'm looking forward to meeting new friends who share my interest in hiking, getting outdoors much more frequently and improving my outdoor skills.

Love to be outdoors hiking, backpacking, cayoneering, cycling, whatever!
