It is still out there waiting for me.
I'm working hard to get in shape. Hiking is just a real nice scenic extension of that. And Skip is a great motivational group leader. Thanks to Skip's encouragement early on, I've produced a U.S.A.T. national ranking and I completed the '08 Silverman full distance.
LaSalle Mtn Range just outside the Vernal, Utah area, and both Little Cottonwood and Big Cottonwood canyons, Utah.
The confluence trail of the Green and Colorado rivers in Canyonlands National Park.
To build endurance without as much impact as running. Since joining, my actual running times have gotten much faster.
I am currently the 16th ranked, 40-44 yr old male, in the U.S.A.T. half-ironman distance. I finished in this year's (2008) SILVERMAN full-distance event (2.4 mile swim/ 112 mile ride/ 26.2 mile run). Check out www.myspace.com/geoffrey66.
