Join a great group of teachers and students at the Venice Holistic Center. We are a non-profit educational, wellness center, run by volunteers, dedicated to bringing the best programs and practitioners in body/mind, spiritual, wellness, sustainability for the city of Venice at reasonable fees and scholarships. Many who attend our events are not on Meetup so we have more attendance than shows here.

Gentle Chair stretch yoga class with ZenJen!

New January Yoga with JenZen, yoga affiliate - Saturdays 9:30 AM EST
This Gentle "Chair Stretch” Yoga class offers light movement to bring increased circulation to our bodies. Improving flexibility, relieving stiffness and creating a happier mental state are just a few of the benefits Chair Yoga can provide for our bodies.
This 60 minute class is for men & women of all ages, abilities, shapes & sizes, and is followed by a short Guided Meditation.

Jen Brown, RYT500 “Zen Jen” is a Certified Yoga Instructor, specializing in the 50 Plus population and has extended training in Balance, Flexibility, Parkinson’s & Alzheimer’s with Certifications in Senior and Chair Yoga. She also holds Certification for Meditation Instructor and is a Reiki Master Energy Practitioner.
She is certified in Restorative Yoga, YIN Yoga; Trauma Informed Yoga. Jen holds Yoga for Death, Dying and Caregivers Certification, she offers Sacred Ceremonies of all types and is able to hold space for those in need.

After a participant's suggestion, we looked into creating a single link for all the Zoom meditation classes we offer. However, please NOTE Tergar group have its own link since it is not offered by the Blue Lotus. New Link will be effective staring Saturday the 05/16/20.

A mindfulness meditation practice will be guided by one of the Blue Lotus monks, sometimes by one of the other mindfulness teachers, Jillaurie or Jim.. This typically includes guided meditation, loving-kindness( metta) meditation and silent meditation. Practice is followed by a discussion session to support understanding and growth in the practice of mindfulness. Those who are new to meditation are welcome as well as experienced meditators. A ten dollar donation is welcome to support our Blue Lotus but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Buddhist Wisdom For Everyday Life, a secular class. Guided mindfulness meditation, a talk and discussion on how to live with ease, kindness, clarity and insight. Mindfulness Meditation is shown to improve focus, emotional resilience and bring more joy into your life.

The basic teachings of Buddhism can make our lives more workable and give us an enlightened perspective. A chance to meditate as well as a time to explore teachings that are designed to lead us to peace and happiness. Offered by the Venice Mindfulness Meditation Community.
Suggested donation $10, helps support our wonderful Center where we meet. If you are low income please pay what you can afford.

Jim Piekarski, LMFT, Jim Piekarski is a retired Marriage and Family Therapist (CA) who lives in Venice and teaches meditation and Buddhist wisdom. He is the author of Mastering Your Emotions: Seven Steps to Transforming Emotional Reactivity. (Away Feb - April)

ONLINE Silent sitting and walking meditation 1 - 2:15PM Mon.and Thurs
