Want to put the energy from all that delicious Thanksgiving food to good use? Need a break from internet connectivity to really appreciate the fall? Then come join the Ventana Wilderness Alliance's Volunteer Trail Crew to help repair the Pine Ridge Trail! This section of the trail burned in the Soberanes Fire in 2016 and the trail has been closed since then.
Our work will support the reopening of the Pine Ridge Trail.

We'll be focusing on removing bush and small downed trees from the trail to make it passable again. The work is suitable for beginners and veterans alike. We'll be camping at Terrace Creek Camp, at the junction of the Terrace Creek Trail and the Pine Ridge Trail, and working our way back toward the coast.

MEET: 8 AM at Big Sur Station on Friday. Don't be late!

Friday at 8AM sharp, we will do introductions and a safety briefing in the Big Sur Station parking lot. Then we will drive to the trailhead together and hike down Terrace Creek Trail 1.5 miles to our camp location. After setting down our gear, we'll get to work clearing trail for the rest of the work day. When the day's work is over, it'll be time for the famous VWA Trailcrew potluck!

Saturday will be brushing all day, with dinner and any potluck leftovers to follow.

Sunday we will work until the early afternoon, then hike out and head home.
