VPU June Monthly Meeting--June 27th 7:00pm

Veterans and Patriots United is honored to host Pittsburgh Attorney, Brad Tupi as our featured speaker for this month. Brad’s remarks will focus on the roots of modern American Progressivism and its threats to religious and economic liberty. He will follow up his discussion with some time for questions and answers. Brad will cover:

• Faith of our Founders: America as a Christian Nation.
• American schools before and after John Dewey.
• Teddy Roosevelt: communal claims to private property.
• Woodrow Wilson brings Darwin to our Constitution.
• FDR and the new American compact.
• Joe McCarthy was right.
• Removal of religion from American law and culture.
• Progressivism and the Sexual Revolution.

Brad's Background:

Brad Tupi is an attorney practicing in Pittsburgh, PA. Brad was born and raised in Pittsburgh, then obtained his B.A. in 1975 and his J.D. in 1978 from Columbia University. The Columbia of that time was a radical, Marxist, anti-war place; Brad succumbed to Leftist beliefs. Over time, his life experiences and religious faith restored him to sanity.
Brad began his legal career with the New York City Law Department and served as an in-house attorney with CIBA-Geigy Corporation (now Novartis). He returned to Pittsburgh in 1987, where his law practice includes commercial and personal injury defense litigation, environmental law, and pro bono work in the area of religious freedom and the First Amendment.
Brad is an Allied Attorney with the Alliance Defense Fund and a member of the Federalist Society and the Christian Legal Society. He has spoken at TEA Parties, church assemblies and universities on subjects ranging from the role of religion in the history of America to the falsehoods of modern environmentalism.
Brad and his wife, Ann Marie Clyne, live in Upper St. Clair and have two grown children, Nick and Steph.

Veterans and Patriots United looks forward to your company for this informative discussion on Wednesday, June 27th, 2012 at 7:00 pm the the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Moon Township.

Does Brad Tupi have an email address? Just a correction to his Power Point Presentation. He had FDR's Secretary of the Treasury as John Morgenthau, and I know him as Henry Morgenthau, Jr. I did enjoy his presentation! Also can not find the 2012 State GOP Party Platform.

We Need To Have A Special Meeting in MID AUG So We
Can Be in Formed BEFORE The Rep Convention.
Also, The SCOTUS Did Make A Correct Decision By Making It A Tax.
The Dems Must Now Defend That Ruling Before the Voters in Nov.

Mr Tupi's historical review of how we have come to 2012 from our beginnings as a Republic were well organized, easy to follow, and quite enlightening. As always, a great speaker. The comments about the Pennsylvania Republican delegates to the National Convention, on the other hand, are disturbing.

Since 1917, and re-affirmed again in the 30's, and still our law, immigration was barred to those "likely to become a public charge".
Is DHS's Citizen & Immigration Services justt ignoring their own rules and our laws?
