All veterans interested in learning web programming are invited to apply. VetsinTech is pleased to announce the availability of FULL SCHOLARSHIPS for Front End Web Development training for veterans — sponsored by DraftKings! This course is valued at $3000!

This is a four-week session held Monday through Thursday evenings from Jul 11 to Aug 4 / 5pm to 7pm PT. Training will take place remotely via Zoom - four days a week for two hours each day.

Some familiarity with the web is beneficial, but not needed. You will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of programming by creating visual and interactive components for a website. More precisely, you will gain hands-on experience developing the structural foundation (HTML), styling (CSS), and logic to manage the behavior of your own website (JavaScript).

After completing this course, you will be able to: > Describe the web's operation » Create a website's structure and style using HTML and CSS « Utilize JavaScript basics to add interaction to a website » Create a website and host it on a server » Possess a working knowledge of fundamental technical jargon in order to interact successfully with front-end web developers.

This course is available only to active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their spouses. AVAILABILITY IS LIMITED. Registration Instructions can be found on Eventbrite.

This course was created to provide veterans and spouses with hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript, as well as career services and networking with firms looking for computer positions. It is geared toward those with little experience with programming, specifically JavaScript, by providing the foundation for applying skills to a variety of applications and the knowledge necessary to succeed in careers that require a foundational understanding of the visual and interactive components of a website.

Fees & Tuition Candidates must provide proof of veteran status and enroll through ID.me on the VetsinTech website. to be considered for this course. Apart from the $10 registration fee, this course is free for students. For those in need, the registration fee is waived; this can be handled by contacting the admissions office at [masked]
