Saanich Wine Tastings & Tours

Join us for a 54 km meander through the Saanich countryside with stops for tours/tastings at three wineries (Church & State, Symphony and Dragonfly) including lunch at Symphony.

Total cost including lunch will be $29, payable at registration before the ride. (It is much more convenient for us and for the wineries if we pay a lump sum). This includes a nice tip for the wait staff and the usual $1 per ride to cover our ongoing expenses.

Costs are:

Church & State:  $5 per person (Tasting)
Symphony: $15 per person (Tasting and lunch)
           Dragonfly: $5 per person (Tasting)
Tips: $3 ($1 per person per venue)
                    Ride: $1
 ---------------------------------------------------------
                   Total: $29

If you RSVP and then cannot attend the ride for some reason, please change your RSVP to give someone else a chance.

The waiting list is active. There are always a few last minute cancellations so it is worth joining it.

Challenge Rating: 6/10 (3/5 for Distance, 3/5 for Hills)

Terrain Rating: 3 (finely tuned racing bikes not recommended!)

Agreed. It was a wonderful day. I loved the route-just right for distance and hills--and beautiful too. I also will be back at Symphony. Great find!

Absolutely stellar ride…thanks for putting together a brilliant day Simon - and thanks to Catherine for herding the cats. Symphony is a real find…I'll be heading back there for sure!

I'm on the same page as everyone else. Great ride, food, wine and company. A wonderful way to spend a Saturday and I look forward to the next one. Thanks Simon for organizing the day and to Catherine for sweeping.

Great food, wine and company. A fine ride on a fine day. Symphony gave us a great lunch buffet - more than we could eat - plus four wine tastings, all for $15. We highly recommend them to everyone. Excellent wine too, many of us bought a bottle from them to take home. Thanks to Katherine for sweeping - she is usually to be found at the head of the pack.

We'll do a couple more wine tours this year to some other wineries in our area (and lunch at Symphony again!) and one over to The Cowichan during their wine festival.

And a beer tour during Octoberfest.

Another great ride! Judy has promised to help organize our next wine tour thru Cowichan as well. Maybe we'll also get up to Muse some day.

Best day ever. Great route, Simon, and the wineries were great! Good food, good wine, good people, out on our bikes on a beautiful day in Victoria…..life just doesn't get much better than that

Simon, I was planning to meet up with the group at Interurban and Columbine but from the map it looks as though you will be riding the trail along Colquitz Creek. Is that correct? If so, I will ride down and meet you at the start of Burnside West, just where it meets Interurban. So happy to be getting out with the group again!
