Together with the Elasticsearch Usergroup Vienna (http://www.meetup.com/Elasticsearch-Usergroup-Vienna/) we are welcoming two ElasticSearch engineers:
• Karel Minarik (https://www.linkedin.com/in/karelminarik): Elasticsearch and Ruby
In my talk, I'll explain the design principles and implementation patterns behind the official Ruby client, the process of adding new APIs consistently, the approach to testing. Given time and interest, I'll also give a brief overview of the Rails integrations with Elasticsearch.
Karel has been designing and developing web applications for over a decade, using a variety of languages and tools. He works at Elasticsearch on the Ruby and Rails integrations and internal applications.
• Martijnem van Groningenem (https://www.linkedin.com/in/martijnvangroningen): Inner hits
Ever wanted to know what children documents contributed to a hit of a has_child query or what nested inner objects contributed to a hit of a nested query? Then you should join the meetup and learn about inner hits! Also, if you don't know what all of this means, don't worry, because I will explain all of it.
Martijn is a software engineer working for Elasticsearch. Before that, he developed Solr based search applications and contributed to the Apache Lucene/Solr project.
If you're interested in full-text search, it won't get any better than this — join us!
