Ski & Race Weekend
February 10 - 12, 2017
This season our annual ISC weekend will be at Boyne Highlands near Petoskey, Michigan. Your ski club will be defending their honor against other Indiana ski clubs in this low key racing environment. Come and participate in racing or cheer on your club’s racers. Accommodations will be at the Main Lodge or Bartley House at Boyne Highlands. The ISC offers Racing Medals and Plaques.
This weekend will include Friday and Saturday night lodging, weekend lift ticket, 2 breakfasts and Saturday Night Banquet Dinner. Lift tickets are good for Friday 4:30-9 PM, Saturday 9 AM-9 PM & Sunday 9 AM-4PM.
Weekend Package Rates:
• 2 adults per room = $335 per person
• Children 9 to 15 years = $183 with 2 adults in room
• Children 8 years old and younger receive free lodging and lift tickets with 2 adults in room (no meals)
• Ages 70 and over or non-skiers receive a $60 weekend discount from Boyne (Please let us know if you qualify for this discount when making your reservations otherwise discount are not available)
• Cross-country skiers may receive a $15 per day refund from lift tickets (Please let us know if you qualify for this discount when making your reservations otherwise discount are not available)
• Racers need to provide their date of birth, NASTAR number and $10 prior to event
Friday – Check in at the Main Lodge after 5 PM. Some skiers arrive early so they can enjoy skiing after 4:30 PM. Saturday- Breakfast – Racers please sign in at Race Table before 9 AM to confirm your age, ISC category and NASTAR Number and sign a release form. . Our exclusive club race takes place at 10 AM on the NASTAR hill just below Leprechaun Trail. You can pick-up your NASTAR medals at the finish line and your time will be recorded within the NASTAR system. The BYO ISC Ski Après outdoor party will be at the Bartley House Heated Pool/ Hot Tub starting at 5PM. The Banquet Dinner with awards will be held at 7 PM in the Main Lodge Olympic Room.
Racing Categories: (you will be broken up into ability, age and gender brackets)
A Class Expert ski racer best of 2 runs on both courses
B Class Advance ski racer best of 2 runs on both courses
C Class Intermediate ski racer best of 2 runs on both courses
D Class First time ski racer best of 2 runs on both courses
Racers will be assigned a number at the start gate associated with your NASTAR Number. A Dual NASTAR Giant Slalom style course will be set. Your accumulated combined fastest time per course will determine your position within class. The points accumulated from this racing will be tallied per club and determine the ISC Championship. Sunday – Breakfast, return to the slopes for a fun day of skiing with your friends and family. Checkout is 1 PM.
Additional Fun Possible: Your weekend lift pass also allows you to ski at Boyne Mountain and some skiers ski there on the way back home. For an additional cost you can also do some of the following. NASTAR National Handicap Racing Saturday & Sunday at 1 PM, dogsled rides, horse drawn sleigh rides, tubing park, cross country skiing and Avalanche Bay Indoor Water Park at Boyne Mountain. A $100 deposit per person (or full payment) by November 19, 2016, with remainder due before January 9, 2017. The date the deposit is received (first come first serve) can determine where your lodging will be (Main Lodge or Bartley House).
