Meet up with friends to enjoy a weekend of ‘sappy’ delights! Get a personal tour of the working Sugar House at Smith Maple Farm in Thetford Center and eventually on to Sugarbush Farms in Pomfret. See how the liquid gold of Vermont is really made and… enjoyed.

Arrive Friday night at your convenience from 4:00 pm on

Saturday’s Maple adventure …

Wake up to a full, hot breakfast with real Vermont Maple Syrup (naturally).

Departing at 9:00 am we journey to The Smith Maple Farm in Thetford Center complete with a personal tour. Note: Transportation is via your own vehicle(s) but your guide will be in the convoy to provide leadership and introductions at every step.

We then travel along historic Route 132 through Sharon, up and over the hills of Pomfret into the village of Woodstock for lunch on your own at a location of your choosing. Woodstock offers upscale dining at the Woodstock Inn, casual dining at Dr. Corbin’s Tonic, or you can get fabulous sandwiches made to order at the Village Butcher and the Montvert Café.

Then we rendezvous at 3:00 pm in the parking lot of the beautiful Woodstock Inn to travel on and up to see Betsy Luce at Sugarbush Farm for a tour of her Maple Sugar operation.

Meandering from Sugarbush Farm and perhaps through the Taftsville covered bridge we reconvene for Dinner which will be ready in the hotel at 6:00 pm. Note: The Hotel Coolidge is licensed and not a BYOB dining room but the prices are very reasonable. The evening will encourage tall tales of your day with the whole group. And you’ll also learn about some of Vermont’s more obscure and unique history from Innkeeper David Briggs.

Sunday morning brings another country breakfast (with more syrup) all in time for some self-guided fun before heading back home.

The cost is $287 for single occupancy or $199 per person double occupancy. This includes all taxes, tips, and gratuities. To participate in this MeetUp, payments and registration must be received by 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19th. Payments are non-refundable. Call[masked].
