At our meetings we’ll do some introspection on what dowsing means to us.  Bring your tools if you have them—pendulum, L Rod, Y Rod or Bobber.  If you need help with the basics of dowsing, we can practice with you.  If you understand and are comfortable with the basics, then we’ll branch off into exploring what everyone would like or wishes to understand.  I asked our master dowser Bess Cutter what some of the subjects popular at the American Society of Dowsers annual convention workshops, and she replied:  Energy work; nature spirits and how to dowse for them in woods and parks; detecting where lost graves are located or where certain gravestones are that people want to find; medical purposes—dowsing for doctors, our medications, and using dowsing as a healing balance.  Your questions are welcomed.  Bring your suggestions for future dowsing meeting topics that are important to you.

According to revered dowser Walt Woods:  “Dowsing is the ancient art of finding water, minerals and other objects that seem to have a natural magnetic, electromagnetic or other perhaps unknown energy.  Energies that the body seems to detect with its built-in, laboratory demonstrable sensors, that are no more mysterious than seeing, hearing or feeling, and seem to be natural to all of us.  As it is with music, many persons can develop a degree of dowsing skill with training and practice…  The purpose of dowsing clubs is to share experiences, successes or failures and to gather information about this phenomenon.  It’s an exciting hobby and draws together people with open and searching minds.  This searching has led to the discovery that we are sensitive to and respond to many subtle energies.  The dowsing device seems to be simply a connection between our sensing system and our conscious mind.”  http://www.lettertorobin.org/RBN_pdf/RBN_10_4_English.pdf
