What we're about

This is a group for anyone interested in having fun playing tennis while reaping the health benefits. All skill levels are welcome, you don't have to be an experienced or skilled player to have fun and get healthy. I started this group to provide a way for those who don't want to play competitively....but do enjoy​ tennis, and want to improve their game, all while increasing their fitness level in a non-stressful atmosphere. Tennis is a great cross-training sport...especially for runners and is one of the best total-body workouts you can get. ​Playing tennis is a good ​way to maintain your health, fitness, strength​ ​and agility. It has been calculated that an hour-long game of singles tennis burns around 600 calories for men and 420 calories for women ​Bring a racket and join us!

Playing tennis has many health benefits including:
= increasing aerobic capacities. = lowering resting heart rate and blood pressure. = improving metabolic function. = increasing bone density. = lowering body fat. = improving muscle tone, strength and flexibility. = increasing reaction times.
