Viva Italia Spaghetti dinner for Doors of Hope

“Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured.” Hebrews 13:1-3 Doors of Hope is doing this very thing for our community. Hope stands for H elping O ffenders P repare E ffectively for L iving I n F reedom E veryday, Hope for Life! Doors of Hope is dedicated to reducing recidivism in Rutherford County by helping the ex-offender build a stable, healthy, productive life for herself and her family after incarceration. Doors of Hope is stepping up and doing the difficult task of following Jesus, which is why Viva Italia TN, Blackman Emergency Response Team, and Blackman United Methodist Church wants to step up and encourage Doors of Hope. We will be hosting a spaghetti dinner prepared by Chef Jim Africano, and Viva Italia for Doors of Hope on February 9 from 5-8pm. There will be live dinner music, Doors of Hope slide shows and testimonials, homemade cannolis for dessert (extra cost,) and a silent auction. 85% of profits from this wonderful night of fellowship will go to Doors of Hope with B.E.R.T. retaining the balance for future mission projects. To learn more about Doors of Hope go to:http://www.opendoorsofhope.org Tickets will be $8/adults and $5/kids 12 and under. Cannoli’s will be sold separately for dessert at $3 each. The silent auction will be from 5-7pm, with the winners announced at 7pm, you must be present to claim your item. Tickets can be purchased at Blackman United Methodist Church, or Doors of Hope office. If you would like to make a donation but cannot attend, please mail your check to Blackman UMC. Please make checks payable to B.E.R.T.
