Lovely Agniezska has agreed to be the Guest Chef for this Sunday Supper.
Best known for her raw vegan cart, The New Leaf (http://newleafpdx.blogspot.com/), she is currently plying her wares at the Yummy Tummy Oasis (http://www.bikrampdx.com/menus/menu.pdf) (PDF!). Agniezska was one of the chefs for the Naked Food Fest (http://nakedfoodcollective.blogspot.com/) last September. She's also become known for providing some of the best cilantro (http://ihatecilantro.blogspot.com/)-free (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123446387388578461.html) food in PDX (for those of us who are sensitive); incredible raw tacos and yummy butternut squash based hummus along with a scrumptious Thai soup. For a preview, her Salads and Sunshine wraps (not cilantro-free) can be bought at People's every day.
Agniezska's menu for this dinner is as follows:
• Celery Root Soup*
• Savory Spiced Brussels (topped with candied pecans)*
• Harvest Vegetable Terrine
• Ginger Kale Chiffonade*
• Pumpkin Chai Spice Cheesecake
And possibly another surprise dish...
* can be made or already is nut/seed free
This is a CATERED raw-vegan meal. Please RSVP here or call Gabrielle at 503-650-4447 so we can be sure to prepare enough for everyone.
5:30 - dinner and sharing around the tables
6:30 to 7:00 (optional) - circle time, including story-discussion, and raw communion.
Attendees are asked to make a gift of $10 - $20 to help with expenses. No one is turned away for lack of funds, so those who can afford to make the larger gift, please help out by doing so.
We are also trying to help facilitate some carpooling for those who are living car-free or just want to combine rides to save money and/or resources. If you need a ride or have an extra seat please respond in the RSVP or call. Thanks!
Please note: the raw food preparation classes are on hiatus.
