Recycling in OR: PDX Potluck
We love to recycle, but what happens to all that stuff we put in our recycling bin, and why has China recently been closing their ports to most of our recyclables. Peter Spendelow has been Northwest VEG’s President or co-President for 10 years, but has worked as a recycling and materials management specialist for the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality for 32 years. Come find out what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong with recycling, and how a comprehensive materials management strategy can help reduce the exploitation of Oregon’s and the world’s environment. Potluck at 5pm - bring a vegan dish to share, list of ingredients, and your own plate and utensils. Talk at 6:30pm. Come for one or both.

What we're about

Public Group

This group seeks to bring together those interested in or currently living a compassionate vegan lifestyle for enjoyment and activities. Being Vegan is a journey in life and no two people travel it the same. So why not join and get to know a great group of people who are walking the same path. Northwest VEG generously pays for the meetup group fees, so you don't have to so be sure to support them as well! We also have a family group, Viva la Vegan - Family: http://vegan.meetup.com/492/
