VizToys & Toy Designer stories - an interactive workshop

My dream job as an Architect and Toy designer in the real world - an interactive workshop with Diana Vasquez

When we were little we dreamt of jobs like being an astronaut, a fire-woman or _______. Yet sooner than we know it, we're telling ourselves to 'grow up' and leaving our inner kid behind. Diana grew up to become an architect and although she enjoyed her work, felt that something was missing. So she decided to embrace her inner kid and become a Toy Designer. Toy Design is a magical world that involves story telling, product design, graphic design, character design, digital design and most importantly fun.

Join VizThink NYC for our November 2012 event with guest presenter and Architect/Toy Designer Diana Vasquez. In this fun, interactive workshop you'll learn insights into the toy design industry and explore the hands-on, visual process of creating a toy. We'll leave with a new appreciation of where toys come from, how they're made and a visualization of the design process used by toy designers.

Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 6 - 8pm
at Edelman
250 Hudson Street, Penthouse
(between Dominick & Broome)
New York, NY 10013

*In order to cover expenses of this event we will be asking for donations. (Cash or via paypal onsite.)

The workshop and the following Q&A were interesting and informative. It would have been great to hear even more about Diana's projects or specific case studies.
