This month’s meetup pivots towards more developer-focused topics:
1. Contributing to Core: Designing Icons for WordPress Admin + The MP6 Plugin
The design you see every time you log into /wp-admin/ is standard across the many millions of sites that are powered by WordPress. When it comes time to change things up, what design considerations are made? Ben Dunkle, designer and contributor to WordPress core, will dive into what was involved with the 2.7 redesign in 2008 and recent WordPress.com dashboard redesign.
2. Turn Your WordPress Site into a Device-Native Mobile App with IdeaPress
IdeaPress is a local startup whose open source platform currently transforms any WordPress site into a Windows 8 mobile app in a couple of clicks. Learn more about their project, where it stands today, how it’s evolving, and what you can do to contribute to the project.
3. B2B Content Marketing
Join Brainrider and learn how to develop better B2B content that attracts and guides prospects through the sales process, while leveraging your credentials and subject matter expertise.
