What we're about

Welcome to the Waikiki Jewish Meetup!

My name is Don Armstrong, and I am the group’s current organizer. Thank you so much for joining us.

The Waikiki Jewish Meetup was formed in early 2019 and has the goal of furthering social connections between members of the tribe who live in Waikiki and nearby neighborhoods. We provide a place for Jews from a wide variety of backgrounds to meet, connect and pursue shared interests. We welcome diversity and we are happy to include the non-Jewish spouses or partners of members in all of our activities. Our activities currently fall into two categories:

First, we are planning a monthly potluck (good food and drink, passionate conversation). Days and times will vary, depending on who is hosting--and of course, we are always looking for new hosts. The group is typically small, with ten or fewer adults, so you do not need a large space. And if you live in an apartment or condo with a community room, it is even easier.

Second, if you are interested in a particular activity--e.g., going to the theater, visiting Turtle Beach on the North Shore, touring Queen Emma's Summer Palace, hiking out to Ka'ena Point and back, making a Costco run--and you would like companions, call or email me and we will make it happen. I just need to know when and where you want to go, whether or not you have transportation, and how many people you would like to have accompany you.

This Meetup is a place for Jews from a wide variety of backgrounds to meet, connect and pursue shared interests. We welcome diversity and we are happy to include the non-Jewish spouses or partners of members in all of our activities. Questions? Don't hesitate to ask. I may be reached through the Discussions on our Meetup home page, or you may email me directly at Zippy5318@gmail.com. You are also welcome to call me at (719) 660-9957.

L’Shalom,

Don
