Monday, February 11, 2019, 6 to 7 pm
John Gerwin will be presenting an informative talk on Mushrooms that he has photographed and ID'd around Wake County, plus a few from the central Piedmont.
He will discuss some of the changes in fungal identification challenges, and why he's learned to embrace the uncertainty of it all!
There are some colorful ones to be found and enjoyed around here
I'm including Sam's awesome "Hurricane-induced" Polypore from this past fall as well (although I still haven't been able to ID it; maybe spores blew in from who knows where......).
The lecture will be held in the Thomas G. Crowder Woodland Center again. The address there is 5611 Jaguar Park Drive, Raleigh, NC
Date: Monday, February 11th; 6 - 7 pm.
It does begin at 6pm. This is part of a Raleigh Parks speaker series and in the winter they have to begin at 6 (later in the season it is 7-8).
