Please join us for our weekly gathering!
We are a group of young adults (35 and under) practicing mindfulness in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, called Wake Up New York.
We start siting meditation promptly at 8:15 p.m., so we kindly ask you to arrive beforehand to settle in. The official part of the event ends at 10 p.m.
Typical evening schedule:
8:15 p.m.: Beginning
- 20 minutes sitting meditation
- 10 min walking meditation or deep relaxation
- 10 min reading
- 30 min sharing circle
10 p.m.: End
10 p.m. - 11 p.m.: Open socialization
This is a free, donation-based event. No one is turned away for lack of funds. We provide mats, cushions and chairs, so you don't need to bring anything with you.
