This walk will take place in the week of the 75th Anniversary of the crash!

This walk takes in the limestone area above Dan yr Ogof and visits a Vickers Wellington bomber crash site with significant wreckage. Some small paths, wet under foot in places and a bit of rough going.

The walk will be led by David Thomas who has been a Mountain leader for over 30 years.

Walking boots are strongly recommended. It can be cold on the tops, in the valleys and under tree cover even in good weather so warm layers and waterproofs are essential.

Well behaved dogs are welcome.

You will need a packed lunch.

We will be leaving the meeting point promptly at 10.30am so please arrange to be there no later than 10.20am. If running late then do message this event page earlier rather than later and David will hopefully pick up. Reception can be an issue in the hills...

If this event is SOLD OUT do search the programme for future events with availability.

We charge for these walks in order to have a vibrant and exciting range of events available to group members. The charge ensures that the groups programme is sustainable.

Here's looking forward to another fine day out in the West of the Brecon Beacons :)

This group is for those who would like to take part in walking and adventure activities and holidays at low cost.

We offer a range of walks of different lengths and difficulties so hope to cover most levels of ability/fitness.

The main aim of the group is to get people outdoors and walking and socialising with others who enjoy the same.

We encourage the development of interest in the hills and mountains of Wales. We facilitate our members to build their skills and to get out on their own or to look to us for guided adventures in the UK and abroad.

No liability or insurance is provided for these events. All participate at their own risk and as adults or parents decide whether the chosen event is for them. The level of participation in any event is always a personal choice. We recommend that you take out a personal activity insurance plan to protect any loss of income following an accident.

This group is also a social group, meeting up for tall tales and a few beers/food every now and again these social gatherings will be the starting point for this groups development.

Adventure Activity South Wales is actively seeking members and new walking leaders.
