"The Round House" by Louise Erdrich. While it centers on a heavy subject matter, it includes a teenage boy coming-of-age theme akin to "Stand By Me," which helped lighten the overall feel of the book. It was enjoyable, but I still like Erdrich's earlier works better, including "Love Medicine."
Harriet Brewery, depending on the band(s) and food truck; Tin Fish; Merlin's Rest; Craftsman . . . it's difficult to name only one!
I enjoy a variety of genres -- fiction, history, science, essay, adventure -- you name it! Also, I enjoy discussing books with others, comparing what we enjoyed and/or found challenging, and generally sharing the experience of the book with others.
It's a terrific group of interesting, welcoming, engaging women. Thank you for the great Sunday afternoon.
