Let's Start The New Year Off On The Right Foot (or Left)!!!

Join me for my 4th annual New Years Eve Morning fun hike in the park. Always 10 AM on New Years Eve Morning.

A great park to see Glacier Erratics and the beautiful Cranberry Lake.

Allamuchy State Park North Section has a very diverse trail system with trails ranging in difficulty from very beginner (flat) to intermediate with multiple hills (max 300 foot elevation gain). We will be hiking Ranger Loop, Iron Mine Loop and eventually end up at beautiful Cranberry Lake. The Sussex Branch Rail Trail will lead us back. Total distance is up to the group that day ..up to 8 miles.

Hiking duration, trail difficulty and distance is up to each person and their ability. All ability levels are welcome!

**Please comment as to number of ppl attending (bringing a friend?).
What you might see: Ecosystems and habitats, stream crossings, marshy areas, waterfalls, lakes, ponds, Glacier Erratics, overlooks and viewpoints, caves and perhaps a black bear, falcon, hawk or a pair of Eagles.

What to Bring: The kids!! BRING THE KIDS!! Dress in layers For The Weather. Bring water, food/snacks and personal first aid kit in a day pack. Hiking shoe/boot recommended but not nessisary for this hike unless snow covered. Hat/Gloves recommended if it's cool, Camera is definitely recommended.

Meet: 10 am in the Sussex Branch Trail Head parking lot at Waterloo Rd and Continental Dr, Stanhope NJ. We will start the hike at about 10:15 **Plan to arive EARLY - be considerate to the group. ***If your running late, let me know via text[masked]. I will check them that morning. Understand the group may or may Not wait for your late arrival.

Directions: From Hackettstown Nj- take Willow Grove St/Route 604 for about 7 miles. Trailhead parking is at the intersection of Waterloo Rd and Continental Dr. From Rt 80- take exit 25 (206 North Stanhope) to 1st exit (Trade zone / International Dr) to 1st traffic light turn right (Continental Dr) drive 1 mile to trailhead parking.
Cost: Free. Sign up early, number of participants is limited. Inclement weather may postpone/cancel the hike.
Agreement: All participants understand there are certain hazards when hiking on any terrain. Please be aware of your surroundings while outdoors. When signing up for this hike you agree to hold all participants, me and all companies I work for harmless and assume all risks while on these events. Your guide carries CPR and Wilderness First Aid certifications and has a first-aid kit while on the hike to assist you in the event you need it.
