This group is for you to get fit, more healthy, make friends while walking.

My name is Marigold. I started a local walking group to keep active and fit. I realized others could benefit from this so decided to share with more people that is how this group got started.

Walking for Fitness and Fun is for you if you want to keep fit, meet new friends and get the support of others to keep going with your fitness objectives.

Walking for Fitness and Fun is for different fitness levels. It's for you if you're interested in the outdoors, exercise, meeting new people, reconnecting with nature and having fun.

Our walks and hikes are in the metro Atlanta area particularly in the West, North West and South West areas.

To keep things simple you are responsible for your own health and safety and not the organizers or event hosts.

We walk as a group for approximately 1 to 2 hours which can be 1-5 miles in distance depending on the terrain e.g. parks or nature trails.

Please wear good walking shoes, and drink water before and after walks. You might also like to bring with you a light weight backpack, a facecloth or small towel (for warm days) and a bottle of water.

Feel free to invite friends and family on walks. Please update your RSVPs if your plans change as we have a two 'no shows' policy.
