This is a fun, outdoor event to meet some new friends who are interested in walking for fitness. We offer walking, nordic walking and personal fitness training. The free walking events are usually a walking class without poles to become aware of how we walk. The week after we start our Nordic Walking classes for six weeks at a time. Nordic Walking takes fitness walking to a new level by adding poles to produce an incredible upper body workout. Compared to regular walking you can burn up to 46% more calories without increased exertion. The Nordic Walking workout increases your endurance, strengthens your core, arms, chest, back, buttocks and legs, improves your posture and flexibility and it takes stress off your ankle, knee and hip joints.
