  • The Jack Phillips

    48-56 High Street
    GU7 1DY
    Godalming (map)

    51.186182 -0.612449

  • Meet 1-15pm in front of the Jack Phillips pub in Godalming High Street ( pay and display car park behind pub - pay until 4pm , but I think it's free on Sunday ) .
  • At 2:20am on the morning of 15th April 1912 the British passenger liner RMS Titanic sinks to the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean with the loss of more than 1500 souls.

This guided walk around Godalming recounts the tale of John George 'Jack' Phillips , the senior wireless telegraphist aboard the RMS Titanic, from his early years in Godalming to his final hours aboard the ship.

We visit several Titanic memorials, find out where Jack lived and where he first learnt to use morse code.

    £3 each please
